Product Introduction
EDOT is mainly used for synthesizing conductive polymer PEDOT, as well as for synthesizing conjugated polymers and copolymers. It can also be used as a reducing agent in the synthesis of gold nanoparticles and as a raw material in palladium catalyzed single arylation and double arylation reactions. In addition, EDOT can also be used in leather industry production.
Application of EDOT
Leather tanning agents are one of the most important chemicals in leather industry production, commonly used including chrome tanning agents, aluminum tanning agents, plant tanning agents, aldehyde tanning agents, and synthetic tanning agents. Chromium tanning agent is currently the most effective tanning agent, but it can produce pollution problems that are difficult to control; Therefore, in recent years, the development and development of green leather tanning agents has become a research hotspot, with the aim of replacing chrome tanning agents or reducing the amount of chrome tanning agents used. The CN106191337B patent provides a leather tanning agent and its preparation method, including 10 parts by weight of graphene oxide, 90 parts by weight of modified starch, 50 parts by weight of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, and 30 parts by weight of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene. The specific preparation steps are as follows:
1) Preparation of graphene oxide dispersion.
2) Conjugation reaction: Add 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene to the graphene oxide dispersion prepared in step (1), stir evenly, and conjugate for 60 minutes.
3) Preparation of Modified Starch.
4) Graft reaction: Mix the substances prepared in steps (2) and (3), add deionized water, and react for 2 hours to obtain the leather tanning agent.
The leather tanning agent of the present invention involves dispersing graphene oxide and conjugating it with 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene to obtain a relatively stable structure. After grafting with the modified starch, the resulting leather tanning agent has rich functional groups and can be tanned into leather. The leather has a plump surface, a soft feel, and high tanning efficiency.
