State Food and Drug Administration clamps down on dyeing TCM

Recently, the State Food and Drug Administration organized a special inspection of illegal dyeing of traditional Chinese medicine pieces.
In accordance with the drug special action work deployment, the SFDA organized a special inspection for illegal dyeing of traditional Chinese medicine pieces in Anhui, Gansu, Guangdong and Sichuan provinces. A total of 397 batches special sampling, 22 batches of them are verified with dyeing problems, involving safflower, corydalis, crocus 3 varieties. In order to protect the safety of public medication, the dyeing Chinese medicine pieces and related production, operation and use of companies will be exposed.
The dyeing of traditional Chinese medicine pieces harm the public drug safety, deceive consumers, which is a serious violation. The SFDA has instructed the relevant provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) Food and Drug Administration to check the existence of dyeing problems of Chinese medicine pieces and dealt with it according to law.
