Objective: To study the indole -3- carbinol (I3C) after balloon injury of rat carotid artery vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) on expression of NF- κ B and Bcl-X/L protein, Bcl-1, to investigate the mechanism of I3C inducing apoptosis of VSMC
Methods: 35 SD rats to establish animal model of carotid artery injury, divided into the control group (n=5): do not give medicine; experimental group (n=30): I3C (I3C dosage was 12.5, 25mg/d and 50mg/d, delivery time is 4D and 7d, a total of 6 subgroups, n=5). Postoperative 14d materials. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of NF- κ Bcl-1, B and Bcl-X/L protein
