Application of AMP|CAS:124-68-5| in Packaging Heat Sealing Adhesive
2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP, CAS 124-68-5) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C6H15NO5S and a molecular weight of 89.14. AMP can be used as a vulcanization accelerator, acidic gas absorber, and additive for coatings, with pigment dispersion, pH adjustment, and rust prevention effects. In addition, AMP can also be used as a component of heat sealing adhesive in the packaging. When packaging, paper-plastic bonding, paper-paper bonding, and plastic- iron bonding all require packaging adhesive. Existing packaging heat sealing adhesives often have toxic solvent residues and low bonding strength. Therefore, CN103952101B patent has developed a heat sealing adhesive and its preparation method. This week, the editor of YACOO will briefly introduce the composition and preparation method of the heat sealing adhesive.
Composition of heat sealing adhesive
The heat sealing adhesive is made of 45 phr ethyl acetate, 26 phr polyvinyl acetate, 14 phr E-12 epoxy resin, 4 phr vinyl triamine, 6 phr dimethyldichlorosilane, 5 phr polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, 2 phr tert butyl peroxyvalerate, 6 phr 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (CAS: 124-68-5), 4 phr morpholine, and 5 phr tackifier.
Preparation method of heat sealing adhesive
Mix ethyl acetate, polyvinyl acetate, dimethyldichlorosilane, and propylene glycol diglycidyl ether, add tert butyl peroxyvalerate, stir for 1-2 hours, then raise the temperature to 75-85℃, add other remaining ingredients, and continue stirring for 3-4 hours to obtain.
The heat sealing adhesive in this patent is an environmentally friendly, harmless and safe substance, which not only meets the requirements of direct contact or indirect food, but also does not occur chemical decomposition under high temperature, will not pollute the packaging, and will not affect the quality of the packaging.
